Create your 120 film cutter kit by selecting the type and quantity of the components you need. You can have a minimal set-up, with just cutter, box, and knob or you can go full-optionals by building a multi-format film cutter. OR, by popular demand, you can get spare parts or upgrades for your current Film Cutter Kit.

SOME USEFUL INFORMATION:

  1. There are 3 available formats: 127 film, 110 film and N.00 film (aka Univex).
  2. The box, knob, and clips are identical for any type of cutter.
  3. All the components are compatible with any version of the FCK127 (except the 127 film guide and the 127 film respooler that are compatible with FCK127 Mk.II and Mk.III).
  4. If you want to upgrade your FCK kit you can order just the single piece you need.

SOME IDEAS FOR CUSTOM KITS

A complete kit is made of few components. Only the 127 cutter version has a film respooler: cutters for 110 film and N.00 film require the film to be manually respooled onto the original spools. (It’s possible that the cut film should be cut to a shorter lenght, depending on the camera characteristics).

The typical kit may consist of :

  1. box
  2. cutter
  3. knob
  4. feeder
  5. ruler
  6. clips

As said before, the film respooler and the film guide are available only for the 127 version.

You can also have a minimal and cheaper setup without the ruler and the clips. Without the ruler you’ll have to cut-shape the film backing paper in order to go nicely inside the cutter, you can make one out of cardboard. Without the clip you’ll need something to keep the film in place while working, elastic bands, adesive tape, and some sort of clip could be ok.

If you plan to cut more films in a row, please note that the feeder will remain in the take-up spool until you remove all the film on it. Thus, having more than one feeder is a good idea (also consider that it may break at some point.).

You can have more cutters and feeders, they will all work inside the same box with the same knob. The clips are the same for all formats of cut film.

It is advisable to have as many clips as the number of film strip resulting after the cut. For example the 100 cutter pèroduces 4 strips of film. 127 and N.00 film cutter produce 2 strips.
